Homemade Granola

Home made granola will be the next big hit at your breakfast table ! Its nutritious yet delicious which makes it the ultimate snack or breakfast any day of the week!


Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups of old fashioned oats or quick-cooking oats

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter(or any type of nut butter )

  • 3 tbsp coconut oil

  • 1/2 cup of honey

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • 2 tsp cinnamon - 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup of mix-ins (almonds,raisins,hazelnuts,etc.)

  • 1 tbsp of Flax seed/chia seeds(optional)


Directions:

  1. Mix the oats,cinnamon,salt,mix-ins in one bowl.

  2. In a pan over medium heat place the peanut butter,coconut oil ,honey,vanilla and heat them until the coconut oil melts and the mixture is combined well OR just place the ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and microwave it for 2 minutes whilst mixing until its fully combined.

  3. Pour in your coconut oil mix onto the oats and stir to coat all the oats with the mixture.

  4. Place your mix on a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper or greased with some coconut oil)

  5. And bake it for 15 min at 180°

  6. if you want larger bits of granola don’t mix it too often in the oven while if you want smaller bits stir the mix (using a wooden spoon)in the oven every 5 min to break up the pieces .
